Greg manages hundreds of bus drivers, assistants, supervisors, maintenance staff, mechanics, and support staff as they navigate 773 square miles of Jefferson County Colorado. When it comes to the responsibilities that fall on the shoulders of “today’s Public-School DOT, few know the roll as well as CSN’s Senior DOT Advisor, Greg Jackson. Greg’s day often begins about 2 AM to prepare for the safe transportation of 19,000 students riding on 415 school buses, 4.5 million miles per year.
Referred to by CSN’s founder (Ward Leber) as the “best dressed DOT” in the Western United Sates”, Greg was also unanimously voted by CSN’s Senior Advisors to receive the prestigious 2021 National Child Safety Award™. This honor is in recognition of Greg’s ability to maintain the highest possible standards of pupil transportation safety and security under any circumstances, including weather, terrain, and pandemic.
